Moms to Know: Rebecca Leininger, Executive Director of RISE Community Solutions
As executive director of RISE Community Solutions, Rebecca Leininger is helping Central Florida families build stronger, more stable futures. A dedicated leader in the nonprofit space, she focuses on creating pathways to financial wellness and stability, work that is deeply personal as both a professional and a parent.
Through her leadership, RISE Community Solutions partners with families to move beyond crisis mode and into lasting stability, offering tools, education, and support that meets parents where they are.
What inspired your work in the nonprofit and family services space?
Rebecca Leininger: I’ve always been drawn to work that centers people and helps create real, lasting change. Over time, I saw how interconnected challenges like housing, finances, and access to resources are for families. That understanding led me to this work, where we can support the whole family and not just one piece of the puzzle.
What does your role as executive director look like day to day?
Rebecca Leininger: No two days are exactly the same, which I love. Some days are focused on strategy, partnerships, and making sure our programs are reaching the families who need them most. Other days, I’m connecting with our team or hearing directly from families about their experiences. Staying close to both the big picture and the real-life impact is important to me.
What are some of the biggest challenges families are facing right now?
Rebecca Leininger: Many families are navigating rising costs while trying to stay financially stable. It’s not just one issue — it’s the combination of housing, childcare, transportation, and everyday expenses. That’s why it’s so important to take a comprehensive approach and provide support that helps families build resilience over time.
How does RISE Community Solutions help families move from crisis to stability?
Rebecca Leininger: We focus on both immediate needs and long-term solutions. That can look like financial education, one-on-one coaching, and connecting families to resources that support stability. The goal is not just to solve today’s problem, but to help families feel confident navigating the future
As a mom, how does your personal experience shape your work?
Rebecca Leininger: Being a parent gives me a deeper understanding of the pressures families face. You’re constantly thinking about how to provide, how to plan, and how to create opportunities for your children. That perspective keeps me grounded and reminds me why this work matters so much.
What advice would you give to other parents who may be feeling overwhelmed?
Rebecca Leininger: You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. There are resources and people who want to help. Taking that first step, whether it’s asking a question, seeking guidance, or exploring support, can make a meaningful difference.
What’s next for RISE Community Solutions?
Rebecca Leininger: We’re continuing to expand our reach and deepen our impact in Central Florida. Our focus is on building stronger partnerships and creating even more opportunities for families to access the tools they need to thrive.
