62nd Apopka Art and Foliage Festival

Land Nelson Park, Apopka
This FREE festival showcases the work of juried artisans and crafters, and top foliage growers from Central Florida. There will be music, food, a wine and beer garden, and a kid zone. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the festival are given back to the community thru donations and scholarships.

In this dynamic musical adaptation of Rick Riordan’s bestselling book that took Broadway by storm, teenager Percy Jackson discovers he is the half-blood son of a Greek god! With newly-discovered powers he cannot control, a destiny he does not want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail, Percy and his friends embark on an epic journey to find Zeus’s missing lightning bolt and prevent a war among the gods.

Experience an amazing outdoor sculpture exhibit of larger-than-life flying insects hand-crafted into 28 works of art with Dalle de Verre glass and steel. Created by national known sculptor, Alex Heveri, each piece captures the essence of flight. Sunlight through the colored glass mimics the transparency and iridescence of insect wings, intensifying the illusion of movement and life. The exhibit weaves together the beauty of art with the science of nature. Included with general admission.

The largest public showing of the WW2 Armor collection of fully operational WWII tanks, artillery and wheeled vehicles. A World War II battle reenactment, periodic salute fires from tanks and artillery, First responder touch-a-truck display, and food truck vendors

Seven Seas Food Festival 5K Fun Run

SeaWorld Orlando is thrilled to announce the debut of the Inaugural Seven Seas Food Festival 5K Fun Run, set amidst the backdrop of its 60th Anniversary Celebration. Participants of all ages are invited to run, skip, jog, or stroll through the scenic pathways of SeaWorld Orlando, surrounded by the park’s picturesque ambiance and stunning wildlife. The Fun Run will wind its way through iconic attractions, including Sesame Street Land, Orca Stadium, Infinity Falls, Mako coaster, Shark Plaza, Dolphin Stadium, Key West, and Wild Arctic, offering an unforgettable journey for all.

For younger participants, there’s an exciting Kids Run designed for children ages 7 and under, ensuring fun for the whole family. Along the route, participants will encounter fantastic photo opportunities and special surprises, making this event a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Family Fest
Saturday, May 11 | 12 – 5 p.m.
Cranes Roost Park

Family Fest is an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Focusing on learning, kids are encouraged to think outside the box with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities and demonstrations.
Features include live animals, music performances, emergency vehicles, fishing, bounce houses, plant giveaways, vendors and more.
Admission is free. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
