A Parent’s Guide to Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Magic Kingdom

Get ready to clap those hands and stomp those feet, because the Country Bears are coming back to Magic Kingdom with a completely new show. And it is going to be a smash hit! I am so excited for the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree to open at Magic Kingdom on July 17, 2024. Notice anything special about July 17? It’s Disneyland Park’s anniversary date!

I loved the original Country Bear Jamboree – especially the Christmas version. But having a new version that is geared toward the latest generation of Disney fans is so exciting. What’s more, the folks at Disney have partnered with some of the best Nashville musicians to make this show a genuine treat for country music fans and Disney fans alike. Whether it’s your first trip to Disney, or you’re a long time fan – get ready!

We’re sharing what parents need to know about the new Country Bear show at Magic Kingdom so you can have a bear-ific time together.

Country Bear Musical Jamboree Details

This beloved musical show featuring audio-animatronic bears is located in Frontierland, just a few paces from the brand new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

There is no height requirement for this show and it is great for kids of all ages. The new show runs for 12 minutes (the original Country Bear Jamboree show was 16 minutes).

And great news, all the fan-favorite original characters are still in the show, and with new fancy costumes!

Before snaggin’ a seat inside the theater, there is a pre-show waiting room. Be sure to point out the bear claw marks on the floor to your kids. It’s a fun detail!

Once inside the theater, everyone is seated on long benches. Go ahead and scoot all the way down, everyone’s going to have a good view – promise. Besides, when you sit at the far right end of the row you are closer to the exit, which is always a good idea for kids.

The new show is bound to be more fun for everyone, with lots of singing along and laughs. Enjoy the authentic Nashville spin on a few Disney songs, and enjoy the air conditioning too!

New Songs in Country Bear Musical Jamboree

I am most excited about the new songs in the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. These new songs are the real deal! Country music legend, Mac McAnally partnered with some of country music’s best musicians and up-and-coming young stars to produce some authentic country music with a Disney twist.

By the way, Mac McAnally has one mighty fine country music career and spent many years working with Jimmy Buffett (my personal favorite).

“Try Everything” and “A Whole New World” from the Walt Disney Animation Studios films “Zootopia” and “Aladdin.”

During a hosted media event our team enjoyed a live performance of “Try Everything” by Emily Ann Roberts. She lends her voice to Trixie, a beloved character in Country Bears. She sounds phenomenal!

The full list of songs include:

  • Try Everything
  • Kiss The Girl
  • A Whole New World
  • Fixer Upper (from Frozen)
  • Remember Me
  • You Got a Friend in Me
  • Bare Necessities

Country Bear Musical Jamboree opens on July 17th, and is included in regular theme park admission. If this indoor show sounds like you’re kind of pace, then you’ll love the many relaxing rides at Walt Disney World.

We’ll be bustin’ down the doors to be among the first to see this new show, so come on back – ya hear? We’ll be sharing photos and info from our experience soon!
