Another hot one is on the horizon. Have you had enough of summer break yet? While many visitors to Orlando are still soaking up those summer vibes, many of us are ready to move on to cooler weather. Thankfully there are a few Christmas in July events in Orlando that are great for families, and hopefully urge the changing of the seasons.

Beat the heat this July and celebrate the holidays early with a tropical twist at The Florida Mall! The center’s first-ever Christmas in July transports shoppers to a sunny North Pole with Santa visits, festive movies, gift card giveaways, and memorable photo opportunities.
Enjoy a fun summer spin on holiday decor with flamingos, oranges, beach balls, and selfie stations throughout the center, all while festive and beach tunes create a one-of-a-kind ambiance.
Exclusive activities each weekend in July will include:
- Santa Photo Fun with Mrs. Claus & Friends: Make memories that last a lifetime with Santa Claus! Every Saturday (12 PM – 4 PM) and Sunday (1 PM – 5 PM) throughout July, Santa will be holding court in Center Court, soaking up the sunshine and ready to spread holiday cheer. Have your picture taken, enjoy face painting and balloon creations by talented artists, and meet Mrs. Claus and other merry characters.
- Holiday Summer Movie Series & Special Themed Events: On July 13 and July 20 in Grand Court, enjoy a family-friendly holiday movie with a summer twist, complete with fake snow, themed characters, fun activities for kids and festive photo opportunities.
- Special Themed Events:
- Saturday, July 27 (12 PM – 3 PM): Kick off Tax-Free Weekend with a festive celebration at the mall’s main entrance (exterior). Enjoy an ice skating rink, fun games for kids, meet-and-greets with Mrs. Claus, and more! Five lucky attendees will win a $250 shopping spree.

Jingle in July

Add some merry family fun to your summer at the City of Maitland’s new Jingle in July event in Independence Square! Two days of fun activities kick off Saturday, July 27, with a special presentation of Disney’s fan-favorite movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas” outside in the park beginning at 8:30 p.m. Holiday decorations, sparkling lights, and bubble “snow” flurries. Free popcorn and candy canes.
The Maitland Farmer’s Market gets into the holiday spirit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 28, with holiday decorations and music, bubble “snow”, bounce houses, themed vendors, merchandise, and a summertime visit from Santa.

Start your day at the Sanford Information Center at 230 E 1st St to pick up your shopping passport for a chance to win a raffle for local merchants’ gift cards. Collect a stamp from all participating merchants, then drop off your fully stamped passport at the Sanford Information Center by 6 pm for the raffle drawing.
