There are fun dance parties and character experiences all around Walt Disney World this summer.
NEW FOR 2026! New Disney Jr. Show at Hollywood Studios
Starting May 26, families can catch Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The new stage show brings favorite Disney Jr. characters together in a lively performance designed for preschoolers and younger kids.
The show will take place in the “Walt Disney Studios” Courtyard, creating a fun stop for families exploring the park with little ones. If you’re visiting Disney World with toddlers or preschoolers, this will likely become one of the must-see entertainment options.
Last year, my family and I had a blast at Disney’s Hollywood Studios because the Get Animated festivities are perfect for high-energy Disney kids.

The Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios delivered a ton of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER fun, especially for younger kids.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Animation Courtyard
This location is also right next to the brand NEW show for The Little Mermaid!

Last year, the entire courtyard became an energetic, colorful space filled with interactive elements:
- Live Entertainment: One of the biggest surprises for us was the double dutch jump rope performers. My son jumped in with confidence and surprised everyone with his skills.
- Colorful Decor: Brightly colored photo backdrops and bold visuals make Animation Courtyard feel fresh and exciting.
- Character Moments: Some characters, like Daisy Duck and Chip ‘n’ Dale, are stationed at traditional meet-and-greet spots. Others roam the area, giving kids unexpected moments of magic.
- Kid-Friendly Activities: Disney handed out paper fan paddles themed to Disney Junior and set up coloring stations at kid-sized picnic tables. It was a great way for kids to cool down and get creative.

Parent Notes from Our Visit
The outdoor experience in the courtyard was more than enough for us. The whole area is designed with kids in mind, and it felt relaxed, playful, and easy to enjoy without needing to stick to a tight schedule.
And we cannot wait for the debut of Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!

Even just taking a few moments for my son to color the back of the Disney Junior fans that were handed out was a nice break. The roaming characters, activity stations, and even the snack options all felt intentional and family-friendly.
Tips for Parents
- Timing: Mornings may be a bit quieter, but performers and characters are more frequent mid-to-late morning.
- Shaded Spots: The area has some shaded picnic tables, but bring hats or fans if you’ll be there during peak sun hours.
- Let the Kids Lead: This space is great for letting younger kids explore, dance, and create at their own pace.
