At Orlando Science Center’s Preschool, children benefit from a developmentally appropriate learning space that includes hands-on activities and skill-building centers, along with diverse, content-rich STEM experiences. Our approach focuses on the whole child and incorporates project-based learning and inquiry methods. Through projects, children learn to apply subject matter to real-world problems relevant to their age and community. Staff trained in effective questioning and facilitation guide children through scientific inquiry and the engineering design process. Children gain proficiency in scientific thinking and engineering skills through repeated exposure and practice.
