A Parent’s Guide to Halloween Fun at SeaWorld Orlando Spooktacular 2026
One of the best Halloween festivities in Central Florida makes waves at SeaWorld Orlando. This Halloween season, kids can trick-or-treat their way around an adorable treat trail, hear silly stories, see a Sesame Street Halloween parade, and more at Spooktacular.
All they need is regular theme park admission, and for Mom and Dad to purchase a reusable SeaWorld candy bag. Here’s what to expect, and some important reminders.
New this year is a visit from some of our favorite Transylvania friends from Sony Pictures Animation’s “Hotel Transylvania”.
One of the many Halloween events in Orlando where kids can come in costume, Spooktacular is a great option for a festive fall day out together as a family.
SeaWorld Orlando Spooktacular: Basic Details
During the event, which takes place on select Saturdays and Sundays from August 29 through select dates in October, up until November 1! This year is awesome, and participate in a Halloween scavenger hunt throughout the Spooktacular treat trail.
The best part is that all of the extra Halloween fun is included with park admission!
There’s lots to do at Spooktacular and plenty of time to do it all — the event runs from 11 a.m. until one hour before the park closes.
NEW Fun at SeaWorld Spooktacular 2026
Hotel Transylvania Breakfast
This fall, your favorite characters from Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania have set up their newest vacation destination at SeaWorld Orlando’s Spooktacular! Available as a separately ticketed experience, this breakfast invites guests to check in as honorary hotel guests and begin their Spooktacular day with a monster-sized meal and immersive family fun!
The SeaFire Inn comes to life as Monster Dread & Breakfast with monster luggage, quirky décor, humorous “house rules,” vacation-inspired touches and playful nods to the beloved films. Guests will enjoy an all-you-care-to-enjoy Monster Breakfast Buffet, meet Drac, Mavis, and the rest of their friends, capture family photos inside Drac’s vacation home and dance during lively interactive musical moments.

Returning Activities at the SeaWorld Spooktacular
- Trick-or-Treat Trail: All guests who purchase a reusable SeaWorld trick-or-treat bag can collect candy at stations throughout the park, so dress kids in their costumes and let them trick-or-treat throughout your visit.
- Meet Spookley the Square Pumpkin: Everyone’s favorite square pumpkin returns to SeaWorld Orlando! Spookley is back to inspire smiles and unforgettable family photos. Find him across from Rita’s Italian Ice, 11 .a.m-5 p.m.
- Meet a Mermaid: In the park’s Key West area, costumed mermaids will be available for meet-and-greets.
- Halloween Scavenger Hunt: At the Coconut Bay Traders shop, parents can purchase a Halloween scavenger hunt that sends kids through the park looking for Halloween characters. Redeem the map at the end for a special prize.
- Spooky Bubble Trail: Follow a whimsical trail filled with floating bubbles, playful Halloween surprises, and Spooktacular Pals for a bubbly adventure the whole family will enjoy.
- Scarecrow Halloween Dance Party: In the Journey to Atlantis plaza, scarecrow characters will hold a dance party periodically throughout the event.
- Pumpkin Garden and Storyteller: At select times during the day, performers tell stories in the pumpkin garden. When the show is not taking place, the pumpkin garden is fun to explore.
One of our favorite things about Halloween at SeaWorld Orlando is the kids’ craft stations in the park. Take a break, rest your feet and enjoy some simple Halloween crafts – included in park admission!
There is even a Harvest Maze, a way to experience the traditional fun of a fall maze inside SeaWorld Orlando. It’s near Journey to Atlantis and themed with a few friends from Spookley the Square Pumpkin!
Halloween Fun with Sesame Street
One of the things parents love most about SeaWorld Orlando is the Sesame Street Land area. And during SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular there is lots of Sesame Street fun for kids to enjoy.
- Sesame Street Halloween Parade: Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Count von Count, and more take to the streets in colorful costumes for a high-energy, not-too-spooky parade.
- Halloween Storytime with Big Bird: As kids gather around Big Bird’s nest, the muppet will read them a Halloween-themed story.
- Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast: During this buffet-style breakfast, kids can interact with Sesame Street characters, including everyone’s favorite count. In previous years, the breakfast started at $9 for kids and $19 for adults and could be reserved at the park’s information counter or by calling (407) 545-5550.
Can my kids wear costumes?
YES, they can, and you can too! Be sure to dress your kids in their Halloween costumes or wear matching family Halloween shirts for maximum festiveness. In addition to getting kids into the Halloween spirit, your photos from the event will be extra adorable.
Plan some time to pause and snap some photos. Besides the adorable characters dressed up for fall and Halloween, there are a number of photo-ready backdrops perfect for festive family photos.
Tips for visiting Spooktacular 2026
- Event Hours: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Event Layout: Two main sections – from Key West to Atlantis on the left side of the park, and Sesame Street Land
- Trick-or-Treating: Focused on a dedicated treat trail rather than throughout the whole park, making it easier to complete and then enjoy other attractions
- Station Signage: Each trick-or-treat station has a sign showing what treats are offered
- Activities: Cookie decorating is available for $12
- Remember: To trick-or-treat, kids must have a SeaWorld reusable candy bag, which must be purchased in the park for $3.99
- Scavenger Hunt: Cost is $10, the map and stickers are adorable and the prize is a kid-friendly water bottle and sticker sheet.
- Teal Pumpkin Program: for those with allergies – guests with food allergies can collect teal tokens at candy stations and redeem them for allergy-friendly items at Coconut Bay Traders in the Key West area of the park.
