Holidays and Christmas at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Usually, the holiday season and Christmas festivities at Walt Disney World begin the first Friday of November and continue to roll out through mid-November, and ending in early January.
Decorations
30s-inspired holiday decor decks out this TinselTown-themed park, from the giant vintage ornaments on display to floating ornaments adorning Echo Lake. Even Toy Story Land gets a holiday overlay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — including a Santa hat-wearing Hamm sugar cookie.
Projection Show
In addition to glamorous holiday decor and fun themed holiday overlays, Disney’s Hollywood Studios goes all out by lighting the Hollywood Tower Hotel (home of the Tower of Terror attraction) with holiday magic that turns the structure into a Muppets gingerbread showpiece, a Toy Story toy hotel, a snowy scene from Arendelle, and a Dickensian village from Mickey’s Christmas Carol.
Santa Claus at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Santa cruises down Hollywood Boulevard in a red convertible during the Santa Claus Merry Motorcade, diners meet Mickey and friends in their holiday best during character dining at Hollywood and Vine, and “snow” falls from the sky periodically throughout the night.
Christmas at Toy Story Land
Toy Story Land is the most kid-friendly part at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and during the holiday season, the toys get into the spirit.
Extra embellishments added to the toys include Woody with a candy cane scarf, Rex wearing an antler headband, plus oversized ornaments with painted macaroni and alien faces, a giant Hamm cookie with a Santa hat, and a giant cranberry and popcorn garland.
In years past the Alien Saucer Spin ride provides intergalactic good cheer with special holiday songs and lighting.
And more…
You can also expect the holiday overlay at For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration to return, wherein Olaf ends the show by singing holiday songs.
