INSIDE LOOK: Hurly-Burly, a Family-Friendly Location on Disney’s Boardwalk
What do you get when you mix delicious cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), classic games, and scrumptious light bites?
Why, Hurly-Burly, of course!
This delightful new joint opens on October 1, 2026, and we got a sneak peek of everything inside that makes it the perfect family-friendly break day between visits to the parks, or even a great place for birthday celebrations!
What is Hurly-Burly?
During the day, Hurly-Burly channels the golden era of seaside leisure into a nostalgic and family-friendly spot during the day; however, at 9 p.m., this joint becomes 21+ only, where you can experience music throughout the decades, like the 1920s, 150s, 60s and more, with performances changing nightly!
We chatted with Christopher Revetria, Producer with Disney Live Entertainment, who chatted with us about what he’s most excited for guests to experience. “… what I’m really excited about is people coming in here, getting their drink, getting some food, sitting down, and just having a really good time—feeling like they’ve been taken on a musical journey of, maybe, things that they know or things that, maybe, they don’t know … and then, to be honest, I can’t shy away from the family activities because it’s totally different.”
We played a game of Disney Music Bingo featuring some classic Disney tunes, but the family-friendly activities, like trivia, can vary from day to day.
“We’ll have other games and activities throughout the week just to change it up and excite people, so if families want to come back multiple days in a row for that period of time, then they get a unique experience each time…” says Revetria.
The Vibe
Families take a seat and enjoy a thoughtful world of jewel tones, dazzling lights, coral accents, and brass finishes that bring the elevated seaside vibe inside.
Look even closer, and you can gather the story of Polly Delmar, a headlining act in the Vaudeville Circuit.
Merideth Head, Senior Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, gave us a little hint as to what to pay special attention to around this new space. “I really love how, in the posters, almost every item that Polly is holding, we were able to make it into a real prop, so it’s like she left it behind here in this space.”

The Drinks
The gorgeous bar features signature drinks for every palate, including some non-alcoholic options that are perfect for the little ones!
The Caramel Corn Old Fashioned was a great twist on a traditional Old Fashioned with caramel undertones that didn’t overpower the bourbon. Lovers of the Old Fashioned will definitely love this!
A few other notable favorites include the Cherry-Vodka Limeade, the Mertini (very clever considering the seaside theming), and the Road To Fame.
Non-alcoholic options include the Overture in Orange—think of that nostalgic Orange Creamsicle from your childhood—along with the Cherry Marquee. We aren’t huge fans of orange-flavored drinks; however, this one was delicious!
The Bites
The snacks at Hurly-Burly are delicious! We really enjoyed the Oven-Roasted Shrimp, and nearly everything on the menu is shareable.
A unique must-try is definitely the Mini Apple Cider Donuts. These donut holes aren’t too sweet, with just a light coating of cinnamon sugar and a side of Miso-Caramel Sauce. Yep, you read that right: MISO-Caramel Sauce. You’ve just gotta try it!
Disney Chef De Cuisine, Robby Sells, and his team created a delightfully iconic snack, Theatre Concessions, which features a trio of meatballs, a sugar cookie, and buttered popcorn, because you can’t be in a theatre without popcorn!
