Celebrate America250: Things to Do 4th of July Weekend in Orlando

Summer is in full swing, and the 4th of July is full of fun things to do.

Since this year is America’s 250th Anniversary, there are all kinds of great, family-friendly ways to celebrate the Semiquincentennial!

From 4th of July events, including fireworks, parades, and more, here are our top family ideas for things to do July 4th weekend in Orlando!

Family Friendly 4th of July Fireworks

Fireworks at the Fountain

  • Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026, 4 p.m.-10 p.m. (Fireworks at 9:10 p.m.)
  • Location: Lake Eola Park
  • Cost: FREE

This year marks the 48th Annual Fireworks at the Fountain celebration in downtown Orlando at our city’s iconic Lake Eola Park. The fun kicks off at 4 p.m. with live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and food/drinks available for purchase from on-site vendors. You’re allowed to bring picnic blankets, chairs, and a cooler filled with your favorite snacks and nonalcoholic drinks to enjoy.

The epic fireworks display will begin at 9:10 p.m. The finale will include a dazzling display set to a patriotic performance from the Orlando Concert Band.

Freedom on the Waterfront – with fireworks

  • Date: Friday, July 3, 2026, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
  • Location: Mount Dora
  • Cost: FREE

Enjoy live music, Kid’s Zone activities, food trucks, beverages, and fun for everyone with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Dora. Presented by and the City of Mount Dora.

Red Hot & Boom At Cranes Roost Park

  • Date: Friday, July 3, 2026, 5 p.m.-10 p.m., fireworks around 9 p.m.
  • Location: 274 Cranes Roost Blvd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701
  • Cost: Free

This infamous celebration takes place on Friday,, July 3, in Uptown Altamonte’s Cranes Roost Park. The City is pulling out all the stops for Central Florida’s premier Independence Day celebration! Red Hot & Boom returns as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday—marking 29 years of live music, great food, and family fun.

Party in the Park and Fireworks

  • Date: Friday, July 4, 2026, 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
  • Location: Newton Park on Lake Apopka, 29 W. Garden Avenue

The spectacular fireworks display will be even grander this year with a special red, white and blue finale to mark America’s 250th anniversary. There will also be live music, family-friendly games and activities, crafts, and vendors!

Disney Fireworks

  • Dates: July 3 through July 5, 2026
  • Locations: Magic Kingdom and Epcot
  • Cost: Included with theme park admission

Nightly fireworks displays at Magic Kingdom and Epcot are magical any time of year. But during 4th of July weekend, patriotic magic is added! You can catch the display at Magic Kingdom each night, or head to Epcot for the nightly show, including fireworks, music, and special lighting effects.

Make the 4th of July in Orlando unforgettable with a Disney Fireworks Cruise. Cruises leave from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort and chart a course to the International Gateway near World Showcase Lagoon for a celebration including fireworks, lasers, and synchronized audio. There are also a few options in the Magic Kingdom resort area.

America 250: July 4th Star Spangled Celebration

Join Promenade at Sunset Walk as they celebrate America 250 with Sunset Walk Orlando’s annual July 4th Star Spangled Celebration, starring DFALC on the “Red, White & YOU” Tour, plus special guests DJ Scotty B and Guitar Army 250. Finish out the evening with the Sunset Walk Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular!

Free Fireworks at Old Town Kissimmee

Old Town’s All American 4th of July Celebration ignites with a high-energy showcase of American horsepower with an All American Car Show, live music, entertainment, and fireworks. The celebration builds all night long with something for every age, making it a true family-friendly Independence Day experience.

Celebration of Freedom in Winter Springs

  • Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026, 5 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

This annual event offers a festive Independence Day celebration for all ages, featuring live entertainment, food vendors, and family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks finale lighting up the night sky!

July Fourth Family Fun Weekend

  • Location: Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

A Fourth of July celebration isn’t complete without games to play outdoors! All holiday weekend long Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will host several outdoor activities. Try your swing at mini golf, aim for the win in corn hole, and get four in a row in one of our large party towers. All activities will take place rain or shine and are included with admission.

City of Winter Park 4th of July Celebration

  • Location: Central Park, Winter Park

Bring the family over to enjoy a Kids Zone with carnival games, balloon artist and bounce slides provided by the Parks & Recreation Family Fun Program. The annual bicycle Parade will begin at 9:15am. Children can bring their bicycles already decorated or decorate them by the old bus stop on the corner of Morse and Park

Independence Day Open House

The Museum is open for free on Independence Day in conjunction with the City of Winter Park’s Annual 4th of July Celebration.

Celebration’s Independence Day Spectacular

The celebratory activities kick off at 9 a.m. with the annual Independence Day parade. Then groove to the sound of Audio Exchance from 6:30pm until just before the fireworks. As the sun sets and anticipation builds, grab a spot with your loved ones and get ready to witness a fireworks display like no other. Following Audio Exchange’s performance, a breathtaking pyrotechnic display will illuminate the sky over Lake Rianhard.

Downtown Avalon Park Fourth of July Festival

Enjoy a host of thrilling attractions, from a wet/dry bounce park and a bike parade to special performances and an apple pie bake-off. Stay around, as festivities will continue throughout the evening. The night will be filled with community performances, a wet/dry bounce park, food trucks, vendors, and music. Restaurant, retail, and service businesses will also be offering specials and deals throughout the evening. Finishing off an exciting day, the festivities will be concluded with a magnificent fireworks display over Avalon Lake at 9pm.

City of Apopka July 4th Celebration

Enjoy this free family-friendly July 4th Celebration with music from David J and opening act Emily Henline and fireworks following the concert. Event includes Food & Craft Vendors, Face Painting, Balloon Artistry, Climbing Tower, Bounce Houses, Bungee Trampoline, Fireworks, Music, and more.

Lone Sailor Division 4th of July Celebration

Bring a chair, blanket, or have a seat in the grass for this annual Winter Garden tradition! Keep your eyes on the sky for one of the best firework displays in West Orange County. Live music, family activities, food, and more keep the evening fun for all ages!

City of Clermont Red, White and Boom

Join the City of Clermont for their Annual 4th of July celebration at Waterfront Park filled with traditional Americana-type activities for all ages and ending with fireworks over Lake Minneola.

For a hot ticket, head out to The View Clermont for steaks on the grill alongside all your other 4th of July faves. Expect food trucks, steak cookout and buffet from 4-8pm, live music on the patio and sparklers for the kids! Reserve in advance to make sure you don’t miss out, since prime rib is limited! You don’t need a reservation to attend, however.

Reed, White & Blue Celebration and Fireworks

Creative Connections

Creative Connections is geared towards visitors of all ages with developmental and learning disabilities, as well as those on the autism spectrum, sparking their imagination and fostering uninhibited creative expression. Creative Connections is a free event. Adults are welcome from Noon – 1:30 pm, while Youth and Family are welcome from 2 pm – 3:30 pm

Worth the Drive – Family Fun Center in Lakeland

Family Fun Center is celebrating Independence Day from July 1st to July 6th with specials and promotions. 4th of July Parades in Orlando

22nd All American Kids Parade

  • Location: City Hall, 300 W. Plant Street
  • Cost: Free

Join in the All American Kids Parade in partnership with the City of Winter Garden. Kids (adults too!), wear your red, white, and blue and parade through historic downtown by foot, bike, scooter, wagon, stroller, etc. The parade loops around West Plant Street and lasts about 30 minutes.

Celebrate America250 Beyond 4th of July in Orlando

$5 America 250 Summer Flix at the Garden

The historic Garden Theatre on Plant will present Americana-themed movies on Tuesday, June 30, as part of the City of Winter Garden’s $5 Summer Flix at the Garden series. The budget-friendly movies will feature a kids’ matinee (The Sandlot) at both 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., as well as an adult title (Independence Day) in the evening. 

Red, White & Blues on the Plaza Featuring Big Ron Betts Trio

Kick off your America250 weekend with a free blues concert from Big Ron Better Trio at Centennial Plaza!

Red, White, & Chilled: America 250 Celebration

  • Date: Now through September 7, 2026
  • Location: ICEBAR Orlando

This one-of-a-kind experience will feature festive décor throughout the venue, specialty cocktails, brand-new themed ice sculptures inspired by America’s 250th celebration in the ICEBAR and free cover in the Fire Lounge. 

Red, White & Chill’s specialty themed drink menu presents patriotic cocktails the Firecracker Margarita, Liberty Lemonade, Star Spangled Smash, ‘Merica Mule, Freedom Flight and the Summer Sparkler mocktail.
