Healthy Kids Day® with the Y
April 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Your local YMCA of Central Florida
This FREE community event is packed with activities to encourage kids and families to find a safe, healthy and fun summer at the Y. This year’s event includes:
- Family-friendly activities
- Youth sports and group exercise demos
- Aquatics activities
- Special offers, including waived set-up fees on new memberships
- 10% off summer youth sports and $0 camp registration fees, and More!
Partnering with this years’ event is the New Worlds Reading Initiative to bring even more excitement to the event! New Worlds Reading Initiative events begin at 11:30 a.m. at all locations except the Roper YMCA, which will begin at 1 p.m.
Children and families will enjoy a reading of Skater Cielo by Rachel Katstaller, followed by an interactive activity that brings the story to life.
New Worlds Reading Initiative event participants will receive complimentary lunch for the first 200 attendees, along with a limited number of free books at each center. Plus, take part in exciting raffle prizes, including 4 SeaWorld Orlando tickets and more!

Oakland Nature Preserve will be open on select dates until 9pm to allow visitors to explore the boardwalk and look for fireflies. They will have a staff member at the start of the boardwalk to answer any questions you may have. Please park in the grass overflow lot outside of the gate.

Families are invited to celebrate at A&H’s FREE Earth Day Family Day PLUS Printed Tote Bag Family Art Workshop where children can play with colors and patterns while using paint to “print” their own tote bags with recycled objects! They’ll have other Earth Day inspired craft stations too, plus coloring and still life tables!
Families can also explore the campus, originally built as an artist colony almost 100 years ago, with an Earth Day themed scavenger hunt. There will be other surprises too – like face painting and complimentary admission to three museums!

Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour

The arena tour will celebrate the high-energy music from Disney’s “Descendants” and “Zombies” franchises, inspiring families and fans of all ages to dance, sing and engage with their favorite stars. Check out Storytime at the Orlando Executive Airport for stories and songs to encourage your child to read, talk, sing, and play! Recommended for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Storytime is at 10:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of every month and lasts approx. 30 minutes. It is held in the conference room at the “Orlando Executive Airport Administration Offices” building. Library staff will be present to help guide the way.
