Gather up the kids and head out to The Great Duck Derby for a day of family fun at Mead Botanical Garden. The Duck Derby, a spring-time tradition, features little yellow rubber duck races and LOTS of FUN, FREE activities. It’s just $5 to adopt a little race duck or $20 for a 5-duck quack pack. John P. Thomas Memorial Volusia Valor Days

WW2 Armor invites you, your family, and friends to join us for two action-packed days as they honor our nation’s military and first responder heroes at the “John P. Thomas Memorial Volusia Valor Days.” Bring hearing protection for those sensitive to loud sounds. “Volusia Valor Days” will include:

  • The largest ever public showing of the WW2 Armor collection of fully operational WWII tanks, artillery and wheeled vehicles
  • A WWII battle reenactment “Road to Rome – Anzio 1944”

Families are invited to celebrate at A&H’s FREE Earth Day Family Day PLUS Printed Tote Bag Family Art Workshop where children can play with colors and patterns while using paint to “print” their own tote bags with recycled objects! Families can also explore the campus, originally built as an artist colony almost 100 years ago, with an Earth Day themed scavenger hunt. There will be other surprises too – like face painting and complimentary admission to three museums!
