Kid-Friendly Fun We Love at Flavors of Florida at Disney Springs

As a Florida native, I love seeing our state’s unique culture celebrated—and Disney Springs does just that with its annual Flavors of Florida event.

Running now through August 11, this foodie festival highlights what makes the Sunshine State special, from fresh citrus and local seafood to unexpected flavors like honey and spicy peppers. It’s also a fun way to teach kids about what Florida is known for, while enjoying some delicious bites along the way.

Top Picks for Families at Flavors of Florida

It’s not just about the food—there’s an adorable Seek and Find activity that’s perfect for younger kids. Head to the Welcome Center to pick up a map, then look for special “Flavors of Florida” themed Orange Bird signs around Disney Springs. It’s a great way to keep little ones engaged as you stroll, snack, and explore.

Here are a few of our favorite picks that are perfect for families, especially if you’ve got adventurous eaters or just want some tasty Florida-inspired treats:

Orange Bird Cone at Swirls on the Water

This one is a must! It’s a bright and cheerful orange and vanilla soft-serve swirl, topped with an Orange Bird chocolate medallion. Instagram-worthy and very kid-approved. Just grab extra napkins, the sweet treat is beautifully made, but it becomes very messy in the Florida sun.

Shrimp & Polenta at Terralina Crafted Italian

One of the coziest and quietest restaurants at Disney Springs is Terralina Crafted Italian. The relaxed atmosphere is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Disney Springs.

For Flavors of Florida, there are two entrees at Terralina. The first is essentially a Florida twist on shrimp and grits, with creamy polenta and a light kick of heat. It’s a generous portion—definitely shareable.

Burrata Pizza at Terralina

This one is creamy, cheesy, and just a little spicy, topped with fresh burrata. The crust was a bit soft in the middle, but the flavor made up for it. A great option for families who want something familiar but still unique.

Orange Blossom Honey Affogato from Vivoli il Gelato

Save this one for the end of your visit—it’s a sweet little treat featuring orange blossom honey gelato topped with rich, freshly brewed espresso and finished with a crunch of sweet, golden honeycomb, $11.00. With a warm espresso pour-over it was the pick-me-up I needed for the drive back home.

It’s elegant, rich, and a fun way for grown-ups to cool down with something indulgent (kids might enjoy a bite or two of the gelato before the espresso goes in!).

Don’t Miss: Family Photos

Make a quick stop at the Disney PhotoPass Studio while you’re at Disney Springs. They have a summer-themed beach backdrop that’s perfect for capturing a sweet family memory (and it’s air-conditioned inside, which is a huge bonus in the Florida heat!).
