Activate at Pointe Orlando – Our Family’s Review and Tips for an Indoor Adventure
There’s a brand-new way to play at Pointe Orlando, and it’s the perfect fit for families. Activate, the first of its kind in the state, is now open with a fully interactive indoor gaming experience that feels like stepping into a real-life video game. Our family was invited to try it out, and after 60 minutes of action-packed fun, we left with a few dabs of sweat, smiling, and eager to share some helpful tips.
Activate at Pointe Orlando Review
Activate is located on the ground level of Pointe Orlando, just a few steps from the parking garage. Open every day, Activate is an awesome indoor activity for families for those hot summer days, rainy days, and chilly days too.

What to Expect
Activate features a series of high-tech game rooms where you scan in with a wristband and complete physical and mental challenges—think laser mazes, puzzle solving, and color-coordinated team missions. Each game lasts a minute or two, and once it ends, you exit through a separate door and move to the next room.

As you progress through the levels, your accomplishments are saved to your wristband so you can pop back into the room later on and resume your progress.
It took us a few rooms to get the hang of it, and that’s normal! The first couple games can feel a little awkward as you adjust to the fast pace and rules, but soon it becomes addictive in the best way. Some rooms offer more than one game mode, so don’t worry about repeating a room—you can select a different challenge.
Game Types
Activate at Pointe Orlando has about a dozen different rooms. In front of each room is a tablet for you to scan in and select which challenge you want for that particular room. Some rooms has challenges using your whole body, including a bit of running, others are tossing games using balls. You may experience a short wait for the particular room you want.

Make sure you set expectations with kids and try to be flexible, taking advantage of other rooms without any occupants so you can jump right in.
Time and Age Tips
We booked a 60-minute session, which felt perfect for our family with a younger child. Kids must be at least 6 years old to participate, and after experiencing it firsthand, it is easy to see why. Kids need to be old enough to follow directions and move quickly. Plus the games are built to detect movements, and teeny tikes are not going to fit those requirements.
If your kids are around 10 or older and full of energy, you might want to go for the 90-minute option. It’s fast-paced and replayable, and once you unlock a level, you can come back and start from that higher level in a future visit.
Good to Know
Activate is located inside Pointe Orlando and costs around $30–$40 per person for a one-hour session. Compared to other indoor attractions or mini golf experiences nearby, it’s a solid value for families looking for something truly unique.
And bonus, they open at 9:00 am! Any parent knows when places open at 10am or later it is a disservice to parents with early risers.

What to Wear
Learn from my mistake: dress like you’re going to an indoor gym. Jeans and long sleeves were not the best choice. Stick to activewear and good sneakers—this place has you running, ducking, and darting around!
Bonus Features and Tips
- Photo Room: Don’t skip the photo room! It’s free and offers digital souvenir pics with fun backgrounds like birthday parties and bachelorette themes.
- Wristband Hack: You’ll get one wristband for your locker and one for the games. Wear them on different wrists to reduce interference with the sensors.
- Group-Friendly: This is a great option for birthday parties, family groups, or even team-building outings. Everyone plays together, and there’s plenty of variety to keep things fresh. However, the max per room is 5 people so be ready to break into smaller teams.
- Weather-Proof Fun: Since it’s indoors, Activate is ideal for rainy days or escaping the Florida heat.
