Club MCO Lounge at Orlando International Airport: A Peaceful Perk for Traveling Families
As a Florida and Orlando native, I’ve been through Orlando International Airport (MCO) more times than I can count. Growing up, it wasn’t just a gateway to vacation. We were there almost weekly to drop off or pick up my dad during his business travels, back in the days when you could still meet someone right at the gate. So, stepping into the newly refurbished Club MCO Lounge brought back memories, but with a much more relaxing twist.

Anyone with a confirmed, booked flight at MCO can book a day pass to access the Club MCO Lounge, up to 3 hours ahead of their flight time. No loyalty needed here; any passenger on any airline can access this club lounge. Booking in advance will save you time!

A Lounge That Feels Like Florida
Tucked within Terminal A near gates 90–99, this larger Club MCO lounge (Airside 4) is now filled with natural light, citrus-inspired colors, local artwork, and cozy seating areas that feel more like a boutique hotel than an airport. It’s the kind of space where both parents and kids can actually breathe before or between flights.
One of my favorite features? The floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light and offer views of aircraft movements and even the new Brightline train. It’s a great distraction for kids—and adults—who love to plane watch.
Family-Friendly Features That Make a Difference
As a mom, I loved the multiple places to relax, the variety of food and drinks, and the small kids’ area that gives little ones a place to decompress.

The $50 day pass covers all of it, no need to pull out your wallet for every snack or drink, which is a huge plus when juggling carry-ons and children. You’ll also find plenty of outlets, quiet work areas, a coffee station, and even a bar if you desire an adult beverage.
“We wanted to give this space a residential feel—like a living room you can work in or unwind in,” said one of the design team members. “It’s all about making it your own.”
The lounge is also part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, supporting travelers who may need a more inclusive, sensory-friendly experience.
“We specifically selected these pieces to bring in the vibrancy of our orange blossom concept,” a designer shared. “It’s about honoring Orlando’s citrus heritage and giving this lounge a real sense of place.”

Pro tip: Bring a refillable water bottle for each family member. There are water stations available, and it’s an easy way to stay hydrated while on the go.
Tips Before You Go
If you’re choosing between the two locations, the Airside 4 lounge is larger and more open than the Airside 1 location, which has a softer, beach-inspired theme. One note: restrooms inside the lounge are a bit small, both in terms of stalls and actual space.
- Day Pass Cost: $50 per person (includes food, drinks, and lounge access)
- Location: Airside 4 near gates 90–99 (larger lounge); Airside 1 is smaller with a beach-inspired design
- Food + Drink: Buffet-style offerings, coffee machines, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages
- Kid-Friendly: Small kids’ area for younger travelers to relax or play
- Power + Wi-Fi: Outlets and workspaces throughout
- Bring: A refillable water bottle for each family member
Consider Club MCO to enhance your family vacation or when you have to navigate a long layover!
