We Tried Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit at EPCOT — Here’s Why It’s Worth It
If you’re looking for a low-stress fall activity during your next EPCOT visit, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is a great pick for families. My 7-year-old son and I tried it recently, and while our quick half-day visit didn’t allow us to find every pumpkin, it was such a fun way to spend some time exploring the park together. It’s part of the fun of Halloween at Walt Disney World.
You’ll find this scavenger hunt scattered throughout World Celebration, World Nature, and World Discovery — not the World Showcase. Some pumpkins are outside and easy to spot, while others are cleverly hidden inside buildings or near shop windows. It’s the perfect mix of easy wins and tricky finds.

A Parent’s Guide to Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit at EPCOT
How It Works
The game board and sticker set cost $11.99 plus tax and are available at several EPCOT retail locations, including Creations Shop and Gateway Gifts. Each pumpkin is themed to a different Disney character, and as you find them, you’ll match the correct sticker to the map. You’re essentially paying to participate and for the keepsake map and the themed prize.
One of my favorite parts? You can redeem your prize anytime you want, even if you haven’t found every pumpkin. Just turn in your board, and it will be stamped as completed, so you can choose your prize and move on with your day.
This flexibility made it easy to fit the hunt around rides, snacks, and other fun stops.

2025 Prizes
This year’s prizes include mini Halloween-themed cornhole sets featuring:
- Mickey Mouse in a classic orange wizard hat surrounded by jack-o’-lanterns
- Goofy wrapped up like a mummy with candy and bats
- Pluto dressed in a pumpkin costume chasing candy corn
- Minnie Mouse in a witch’s hat on a starry background
- Stitch playing in a pile of Halloween candy
- Mickey Mouse in a darker teal-and-orange design with pumpkins and moons
Each set is brightly colored and individually wrapped. My son picked out Stitch, the silliest one, of course.

Why Families Love It
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is one of those rare Disney activities that’s fun, affordable, and flexible. It’s perfect for families who want something interactive that doesn’t require waiting in long lines or sticking to a schedule. My son took real ownership of finding the pumpkins. It was rewarding to see him lead the adventure.
We’re a low-key family, choosing relaxing rides rather than thrills. In fact, we love this park because there are plenty of relaxing things to do, including the multiple playgrounds at EPCOT.
Even though we didn’t complete every location, we left with smiles, photos, and a new way of seeing EPCOT. Sometimes, that’s the best kind of Disney magic — no Genie+ needed.
The 2025 edition began in late August and runs through the fall season, typically wrapping up around Halloween. It’s part of EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival, so there’s plenty of extra atmosphere (and snacks) to enjoy while you search.
