What Is the New Indoor Space Coaster at LEGOLAND Florida?
Big news for little thrill seekers! LEGOLAND® Florida Resort just revealed plans for a brand-new, space-themed land, and it’s blasting off with an all-new indoor roller coaster: the park’s most technologically advanced ride yet.
Set to open in early 2026, this ambitious new attraction is being built by the creative minds at Merlin Magic Making in partnership with the LEGO Group. The new ride and themed area will take over a corner of LEGO City and introduce a whole galaxy of LEGO-style fun designed for families with kids ages 2 to 12.

What to Expect from the New LEGO Space-Themed Experience
Families will launch into adventure the moment they step inside the spaceport. The centerpiece? A fully indoor roller coaster that’s designed to be immersive from start to finish. Riders will board at LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885, a fun nod to one of the original LEGO® Space Scooter sets, #885, and blast off into an interactive mission through LEGO space.

Here’s what else families can look forward to:
- Indoor Coaster Adventure: LEGOLAND Florida’s first new coaster inside the main park since it opened in 2011! Expect an action-packed, story-driven experience that’s out of this world.
- Interactive Queue: The fun begins in the queue, with covered areas and hands-on elements to keep kids engaged, rain or shine.
- DUPLO® Tot Spot: Even the littlest astronauts can join the fun with a soft, shaded play area just for toddlers, featuring DUPLO bricks, characters, and a photo op.
- Orbital Outpost Shop: End your mission with a stop at the space-themed gift shop full of LEGO sets and cosmic souvenirs.
As a mom, I love how the newest attractions at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, like the Ferrari Build & Race attraction, have a DUPLO Tot Spot for little ones.

Why This Matters for Parents
This new space experience adds even more to an already packed day at LEGOLAND Florida. It’s indoors (hello, air conditioning), interactive, and designed with both younger and older kids in mind. Plus, it builds on LEGOLAND’s continued expansion in 2025 and 2026, including the recently opened SEA LIFE Florida Aquarium, just steps away.
Entry to the space-themed land will be included with all park tickets and annual passes. My family and I, as well as members of our team, have lots of experience with LEGOLAND Florida Resort: read our LEGOLAND pro-tips before you go!
Plan Ahead
The new LEGO space experience is still under construction, with more updates—including the official name and opening date—coming soon. If your kids love space there are some awesome space-themed experiences in Orlando open now. And make LEGOLAND Florida part of your 2026 family travel plans.
Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing more details as they’re released!
