A Mom’s Review of Venardos Circus Orlando Performing at Westgate Vacation Villas Resort
There is something so special and nostalgic about a traveling circus. Not the massive circus that takes place in a modern arena, but rather a charming troupe of performers setting up a big top tent – perfect for dazzling residents for a night or two. That’s exactly what Venardos Circus reminds me of, and they’ve rolled into town for a very special reason. Venardos Circus has just started a two month residence at Westgate Vacation Villas Resort and everyone’s invited!
Anyone can attend a performance of Venardos Circus at Westgate Vacation Villas, you do not have to be a guest of the resort. Locals and visitors alike will enjoy witnessing these talented performers. Shows are happening now until August 14, 2024. Tickets are $37.95.

After attending as part of an invited group, I am sharing what parents can expect from this live circus and why I am so glad my son experienced this spectacular show.
Venardos Circus Orlando
If you live near Kissimmee or Winter Garden, or you’re staying nearby, it’s easy to experience Venardos Circus. Performances are open to everyone. This traveling circus is very traditional, except there are no animals. Multiple performers show off their amazing skills. Some of the performers and staff come from a long line of family performers.
Performances
I don’t want to give it all away, but here’s a taste of what you can experience at Venardos Circus. The show is about 90 minutes, with a 15 minute intermission.
Doors open at 7:00 pm with multiple photo opportunities, and preshow entertainment – don’t miss it!
- Comedy – Laughs and silliness are woven throughout the show
- Aerialists – Wear something comfortable so you can easily look above you for soaring performances
- Strength / Stunts – I had to take lots of deep breaths for some of the feats of strength
- Juggling – It’s impossible to resist cheering on the talented juggling performers
Here’s the best news for families: Although many parts of the show are thrilling and exciting, nothing is startling, loud, or scary. I am so thankful that my young son, his grandmother, and I did not have to be worried about something startling or scary happening.
During a few of the stunts I got very nervous for the performers. Naturally, it all turned out just fine.
I remember seeing a traditional traveling circus when I was a young child, however it did not sink in how many different skills each circus performer brings. In the case of Venardos Circus the stars of the show also help set up the stage and tent, man the refreshments and souvenier tables, and some help with rigging while their teammates perform!
Seating
My number one pro-tip is to dress comfortable and wear closed-toed shoes. This is a traditional circus tent set up in a grassy field. I usually bring hearing protection for my son, and sound reduction earplugs for me during experiences such as these, both came in handy for this show.
General seating is set up in four sections around the stage. The center seats do have a nice central view, but even the seats on the side offer great views too. The chairs are pretty close together.
Restrooms are behind the tent. Be sure everyone has used the restroom well before the show begins.
Snacks and Refreshments
Before you head to the circus make sure everyone has eaten a proper meal or at least something hearty because surgary and salty treats await under the big top. Popcorn, cotton candy, snowcones, and soft drinks are available, as well as a large serving of pink lemonade and hot dogs. Snacks range from $3 to $6, and soft drinks are $4.
Popcorn is available in a small serving for $8 or a large is $11 with free refills offered. I recommend bringing a bag with a flat bottom to place the food or drinks in when not being consumed. There are no flat surfaces in the seats since you’re in an air conditioned tent set up on a field.
Location and Schedule
Venardos Circus is located at 2898 Entry Point Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34747. Parking is included and located in the lot directly across from the tent.
Shows are offered Saturday – Wednesday evenings now until August 14, 2024.
Get ready for a 90 minute show, with a 15 minute intermission. But, get there one hour before showtime to take full advantage, including an entertaining preshow that begins about 40 minutes before showtime.
Everyone is welcome to attend, tickets are $37.95. You do not have to be a guest of the resort, but you may want to consider making a little trip of it – this is one of the hotels in Orlando with a water park, plus other activities like mini-golf, paddle boats, movies, and more.
Either way you’re in for a fun family outing full of nostalgia, laughs, and awe-inspiring moments.
