How to save money on food at Universal Orlando
Now, families who vacation at Universal Orlando can book their trip to include a dining package in the form of a Universal dining gift card. With Universal’s new Dining Card Vacation Package, guests who stay at a Universal resort and visit its theme parks can get a gift card valued at up to $1,000 to spend on food during their vacation.

What to know about the Universal Orlando Dining Card Vacation Package
- The Universal Orlando Dining Card Vacation Package is bookable now for select travel dates between November 7, 2024 and April 10, 2025.
- Blockout dates for this event are December 20, 2024 through January 4, 2025.
- A minimum of a four-night stay and four-day, two-park ticket are required to receive this deal.
- Universal Orlando dining cards can be used at more than 200 venues across Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Universal’s Volcano Bay, Universal CityWalk, and all of Universal’s hotels and resorts.
Universal dining cards are good at most sit-down and quick-service restaurants, as well as at snack kiosks and many other food service locations throughout the property.
Universal Orlando’s current hotels are: Loews Portofino Bay, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific, Lowes Sapphire Falls, Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Universal’s Aventura Hotel, and the two Universal’s Endless Summer Resorts, Surfside and Dockside Inn and Suites.
In 2025, Universal is slated to open three additional hotels: Universal Helios Grand Hotel , Universal Stella Nova Resort, and Universal Terra Luna Resort.
Park tickets for this promotion do not include admission to Halloween Horror Nights, but can be used for both the Universal Holidays celebration and Universal’s Mardi Gras.

There are two tiers to Universal’s dining card promotion. With the Savor Your Stay and Ride More Often option, guests must stay at either Portofino Bay, Hard Rock, or Royal Pacific for either four or five, or more nights. Here’s what comes with each length of stay.

More to know about Universal’s Dining Card Vacation Package
- Purchase of both a hotel stay and park ticket (for each person in your travel party) is required to receive a dining card.
- There is a limit of one dining card earned per room.
- This offer is open to U.S. and Canada residents only.
- This offer excludes all suites except for two-bedroom suites at Endless Summer and family suites at Cabana Bay.
Important info and exclusions
- Your dining card must be picked up and activated at the Universal Vacation Planning Center at your selected hotel during arrival through departure dates only.
- Per the Universal website, “dining cards cannot be used for mobile food and beverage orders, online purchases, at merchandise locations, front gate pass sales or guest service locations throughout the resort, at resort hotel front desks or for hotel room service or in-hotel pizza delivery purchases, for other gift cards, tickets or Universal Express Passes, merchandise, or for purchases via phone sales.”
- Also per the Universal website, dining cards “cannot be uploaded to the in-app wallet (Universal Pay) on the Universal Orlando Resort App, nor are they compatible with the TapuTapu wearable at Universal Volcano Bay.”
- The Palm Orlando (Hard Rock), Bice Ristorante Orlando (Portofino Bay), and Blondie’s (Islands of Adventure) are excluded from the dining card promotion.
