If you’ve got toddlers or preschoolers at home, you know how golden a good indoor play space can be. We parents want indoor fun that’s clean, cute, and thoughtfully designed. While The Play Fort isn’t technically in Orlando (it’s in Deltona), this indoor play space is worth the drive, especially if you’re visiting friends or family nearby, or simply want to explore something new with your little ones.

Located about 35–45 minutes from downtown Orlando, The Play Fort is tailored for young kids, offering plenty of space to move, climb, explore, and pretend—without being overstimulating or overwhelming.

What You’ll Find Inside

This bright and welcoming space is packed with thoughtful features for toddlers and preschoolers:

  • A large wooden play structure with multiple slides, climbing elements, and cozy nooks for hiding or imagining.
  • A dedicated pretend play zone with play kitchens, dollhouses, a rocket ship, and ride-on toys.
  • A soft play area for younger toddlers, complete with ramps, blocks, and Pikler-style climbers.
  • An interactive light wall that’s perfect for curious minds and sensory seekers.
  • Small touches like a drink shelf and hand sanitizer stations help keep things neat and kid-friendly.

My son and I get so irritated at how overstimulating some indoor activities can be. Thankfully The Play Fort is lowkey and wonderful. No loud music. No annoying lights. No distracting arcade games or screens.

A Space That Works for Grown-Ups Too

There’s plenty of seating for parents and caregivers along the windows and play area, so you can relax while still keeping an eye on your little one. As my friend and I visited with our young kids we enjoyed moving around and having fun together, while also having moments to sit and rest.

Bonus: the café menu includes affordable snacks and drinks for kids and adults, like juice boxes, organic milk, cold brew, and even a $0.50 Rice Krispie treat. Members get 20% off café items too.

Birthday Party Options

Hosting a birthday party? The Play Fort offers two packages:

  • DIY Party Package ($259) includes 2 hours during Open Play, plus tables for your decor and food.
  • Private Party Package ($500) includes exclusive use of the space, 4 pizzas, and staff-led decorating and cleanup.

Add-ons include character visits, a bubble machine, and extra snacks to customize your celebration.

Good to Know

  • Clean and well-organized: Everything feels intentionally placed and easy to navigate.
  • Kid-friendly bathrooms: Even the restrooms are cute and clearly marked for little visitors.
  • Great for ages 6 months to 6 years: Especially ideal for crawlers through preschoolers (up to 10 years old can play).
  • Bring clean socks for adults and kids.

It is worth noting, many kids feel comfortable playing with kids of varying ages. My son, for example, is elementary school age, but had a great time playing with our family friends.
