Christmas at Magic Kingdom
The holiday season and Christmas festivities at Walt Disney World begin as early as November 2, 2024 at Magic Kingdom and continue to roll out through November 8, and ending in early January.
The holiday MVP at Magic Kingdom is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which returns for the 2024 holiday season – on select nights, November 8 to December 20, 2024.
During this ticketed event, which has a cost in addition to normal Disney park tickets, guests can stop for sugar cookies and hot chocolate throughout the night while experiencing special holiday entertainment and character interactions.
Plus, since not as many people purchase tickets, there are lower wait times for the park’s attractions.
But you don’t need a ticket to the Christmas party to experience the holiday entertainment at Magic Kingdom. Usually starting the week of Christmas itself, the following will be available daily in the park for all guests. Plus, the Jingle Cruise is available during regular park hours from November 2, 2024 until early January.
- Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
- Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks
Holiday Enhancements to Rides
Don’t miss the Jingle Cruise, a Christmas-themed version of the Jungle Cruise that’s sure to get you in the holiday spirit. This holiday version is available during regular parks hours starting November 2, 2024, as well as during the Christmas party.
Also in years past other Magic Kingdom rides joined the Christmas and holiday festivities. Usually, these enhancements are only available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. But in years past the week of Christmas itself provides the chance for guests to enjoy holiday enhancements across the park during the day.
Rides with holiday enhancements
- Space Mountain
- Mad Tea Party
- Monsters Inc. Comedy Laugh Floor
- The Jungle Cruise (themed to The Jingle Cruise – holiday version)
- Tomorrowland Speedway
Closer to Christmas itself you can see Santa Claus at Magic Kingdom. But one of our favorite places to see Santa Claus in Orlando is actually at Disney Springs thanks to the virtual queue.
