We Tried Home Chef’s New Paw Patrol Meals and They’re Sure to Please Kids of All Ages

Mealtimes can be ruff for parents. From busy schedules to picky eaters, sometimes it seems like every obstacle imaginable is getting between us and a sit-down meal together with our families. While there are plenty of restaurants around town for families, nothing beats a homecooked meal together at home.

Now, meal kit delivery service Home Chef is making dinner time a bit less challenging through its latest partnership with Paw Patrol.

My family and I recently tried two of the items from this new Home Chef and Paw Patrol collaboration. The biggest perk? We had dinners completely mapped out for us without having to plan the menu and go grocery shopping! The Paw Patrol toy included with each box was fun, too.

What do Home Chef Paw Patrol meals taste like?

To test the newest members of the Home Chef family, I let my 16-year-old son — my pickiest eater — choose which Paw Patrol dinners we wanted to try. His picks? Chase’s Cheesy Turkey Quesadilla and Rubble’s No-Trouble Beef Bulgogi Burger.

Eating quesadillas and burgers for dinner sounded like everyone in my family’s idea of heaven, so we were excited when our Paw Patrol-themed package came and we could test the recipes out.

I’ve used Home Chef beforeand found these recipes to be as easy-to-follow as the others we’ve had delivered. Each ingredient is pre-portioned and there’s minimal prep work other than chopping the occasional vegetable or pre-heating the oven.

I also found these Paw Patrol Home Chef recipes easy to modify for my picky eater. While my husband, 14-year-old daughter, and I will eat pretty much anything, I had to make a few tweaks to get my son to chow down.

I omitted the black beans from his quesadilla, for example, and topped his burger with American cheese instead of Asian-inspired aioli and slaw.

The changes were easy and worked well for my family, especially since the rest of us do enjoy more adventurous flavors and appreciated that both recipes took a classic comfort food and elevated it just a bit.

More Fun Options

This isn’t Home Chef’s first collaboration, either. The company released Bluey-themed dinners earlier this year and has partnered with other beloved kids’ franchises in the past. The collabs are a fun way to teach kids that food (and family dinnertime) doesn’t have to be boring. Paired with a few of their favorite characters, Home Chef is a great way to get them involved in cooking and eating delicious food.

What’s more, it saves moms and dads time in the kitchen and gives them more chances to make memories with their kids.
