Mother’s Day at Walt Disney World: Thoughtful Ways to Celebrate Mom in 2025

As a mom and someone who prides herself on being a bit of a Disney expert, I’ve always believed that some of the best gifts are shared moments. Mother’s Day at Walt Disney World is filled with those kinds of memories.

Celebrate Mother’s Day at Disney Springs Without a Park Ticket

Disney Springs really knows how to make moms feel seen. Start your Mother’s Day Disney Springs visit this year at the oversized “Mom!” sign near the Orange Garage and Coca-Cola Store. PhotoPass photographers will be there with fun props, or you can snap your own picture.

There’s also a station with complimentary postcards made of seeded paper. You can write a sweet message, and Disney will even mail it for you. The card can be planted later to grow spring flowers—such a lovely, simple touch.

From sweet photo ops and complimentary postcards to free fitness classes and delicious brunch options, Disney Springs is a lovely way to enjoy Mother’s Day without a park ticket. Plus, there’s a limited-time discount for Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil.

Stay and Play: New Resort and Ticket Offers for Families

Walt Disney World Resort is also rolling out some special offers and experiences for spring and summer.

From now through July, you can save up to 30 percent on select Disney Resort hotels. And if you’re not planning to park-hop, the new 3-Day, 3-Park ticket for $89 per day is a great deal, giving you access to EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.

And don’t forget about these awesome perks you get at Disney Resort hotels!

Animal Kingdom Moments Moms Will Love

For nature-loving moms, Animal Kingdom is blooming with new life. My heart melted hearing about baby giraffe Tucker walking beside his mom Mara on Kilimanjaro Safaris. I spent a brief but blissful few months being a driver for Kilimanjaro Safaris in my younger days and can’t wait to bring my son to see the new baby giraffe. It is such a special attraction!

There’s also a new tiger cub, Bakso! He is usually able to be seen on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, particularly in morning. Also, the Wild Africa Trek is one of those unforgettable splurges if you want to surprise mom with something bold and adventurous.

And don’t forget Fort Wilderness where horseback riding is available for kids ages 9 and up, and it’s such a relaxing way to slow down together, and there are affordable pony rides!

Give Mom the Gift of a Little Time to Herself

If you ask me, moms need downtime too. A spa treatment at the Grand Floridian is still on my personal wish list. But even a solo walk through World Showcase can do wonders, especially during the Flower and Garden Festival happening right now.

Sometimes the best gift is 20 quiet minutes and a snack you don’t have to share. And thankfully, there are multiple EPCOT play areas to make it easier to catch a quick break.

If you’re visiting the parks, Disney has also made it easier for families to keep things stress-free. Rider Switch, Single Rider lines, and Baby Care Centers help everyone have a good time without the usual meltdowns. Even though our son is now elementary school age, the Disney Baby Care Centers are still helpful in giving us a quiet place with air conditioning to take a few moments to reset.

And if you want to get mom out from behind the camera, keep an eye out for limited-time Mother’s Day Magic Shots at select locations. Disney Photo Pass has come in handy for our family over the years.

Spending Mother’s Day at Walt Disney World is about more than big surprises. It’s about those little moments that make moms feel appreciated, seen, and celebrated. And as someone who has made a lot of Disney memories, I can tell you this—those are the ones that truly last.
