As I have gotten older my view on Valentine’s Day has changed. There are tons of things to do for Valentine’s Day in Orlando, and now as a mom I like to celebrate love in all its forms. Valentine’s Day is the ultimate date night, but you may decide to celebrate as an entire family, kids and all. Celebrate your love for each other with the whole family at these family-friendly restaurants for Valentine’s Day.

Nauti Lobstah

Nauti Lobstah is a friend and family-owned business offering delectable seafood creations and high-quality alternatives such as steaks, chicken, and pork. My family and I have visited multiple times and we love the warm and friendly setting!

The Acre is one of the new restaurants in Orlando, but it’s a venue that many locals already know. Serving as a spot for weddings and private events, The Acre is under new ownership.

This outdoor oasis is in the middle of urban Orlando, the College Park neighborhood to be exact. There are multiple outdoor areas including yard games, and simple play equipment. Look for weekly events here, and there is sure to be a fun atmosphere for Valentine’s Day.

The early evening is best for families, as well 9:00 pm and later is set aside for adults.

Boxi Park

As the name suggests, Boxi Park is made from repurposed shipping containers turned into a corporate space for families or friends. On Valentine’s Day there will be a fun and lively event – so head there early before the party becomes better suited for adults.

There are food options to fit every mood and palate. Seafood, chicken, burgers, taqueria, and dessert eateries are scattered about. If the grown-ups need an adult beverage, there’s BarNona, Hops & Vine, and La Cajita for liquid libations.

Yellow Dog Eats

Located in Winter Garden and New Smyrna Beach

Yellow Dog Eats is a tasty place for some cruisin’ fun. The casual atmosphere is great for families looking for a relaxed place to eat together.

Some of the names of the sandwiches and salads are sure to earn a giggle from the parents, and older kids. Both locations have also dog-friendly outdoor seating, so the family dog can come along too.

Townhouse Restaurant

A landmark in Oviedo, Townhouse Restaurant has been serving the locals since the 1950’s. A hidden patio in the back is great for some fresh air and home-cooked food. There is a covered portion of the patio as well as open air with umbrellas.

Grill’s Lakeside Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar

4301 N. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL
Sun – Thur: 7am – 9pm, Fri & Sat: 7am – 10pm

There is just something special about dining on the water’s edge, you know? This huge lakeside restaurant is sure to satisfy with stunning views of Lake Fairview and, most importantly, a great playground just off the tiki-style deck (pictured below). The playground is fenced-in and has a canopy cover for shade.

You’ll find plenty of deliciousness on the main menu, like Tahitian Tuna Poke, Bahamian Fish Chowder, and a Shrimp Cuban. Grills doubles as one of our favorite places for seafood and as one of the best kid-friendly Orlando restaurants.

The Yardery

One of the most kid-friendly restaurants in Orlando, well “North Orlando”, is The Yardery. This place is so much fun, for everyone. There are outdoor yard games everywhere, and it is completely fenced in. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so you can enjoy a fun outing together any time of day.

Naturally, the most kid-friendly times are in the morning and afternoon. After about 5pm it becomes more adult-focused. The food is casual, yet delicious – the Loaded Fries are sinfully good and worth the indulgence.

Wekiva Island – Without a Paddle Café

Family time seems to fly by when on island time, right? So why not spend some time at Central Florida’s favorite sandy shore: Wekiva Island. This place isn’t just a recreation paradise for kayakers and hikers… foodies are welcome too.

The onsite restaurant, Without a Paddle, may just float your boat. Let the little ones go pig wild over the Sloppy Hot Dog, followed by sandcastle building and splashy fun. If you want to commit to a full day of it, rent a cabana and opt for the easy and tasty Cabana Picnic Package, which contains enough yumminess for eight to ten people.
