Activities
The resort includes three separate pools: a roof-top adults-only pool and then two beachside pools, one with a slide. Pools do close at sunset due sea turtle nesting seasons, which requires artificial lights on the beach to be turned off at dark.
Of course there’s also the beach. It’s great going back and forth easily between the pool and the beach. Staff members working on the beach will give you towels and help set up a spot on the beach.
How about some surfing? There’s a Flowrider on property where guests can take a ride on the surf simulator. Ride operators will even help little ones learn how to ride the waves.
If Mom and Dad want to escape to the spa, you can drop the kiddos off at Parakeet’s Kids Club, which is available to children ages 5 – 12. Parakeet’s is facilitated by trained counselors who do games, arts and crafts and pool time with the attendees. There is a morning session and afternoon session, $50 each, an all-day option and a night camp Friday and Saturdays for $75.
The resort also has bikes available for guests to borrow and ride around the area.

Resort Rooms
All rooms have a balcony, which offer spectacular views of either the intracostal or the Atlantic Ocean. As a mom, I always love a room with a balcony as a place to escape while the kids sleep.
The rooms themselves are light, bright,t and beachy. Instead of coming with refrigerators, they come with electronic coolers. However, refrigerators and microwaves are available upon request.
If you need a little more space, you’re able to get connecting rooms. If you’re wanting even more room, indulge in one of the suite options. For the best of the best, book a stay in the Jimmy Buffett Suite. The three-bedroom, 2,649-square-foot suite is ideal for large families or friends looking for luxury.
One final note, there is parking at the resort, but be prepared, it’s pricey. To self park it costs $43 per night while valet is $48 a night. We never said paradise was easy on the budget, but the memories and relaxation will be worth it.
