20+ Best Orlando Donut Shops to Savor with Your Sweet Munchkins

All parents have lectured their kids about how breakfast is the most important meal of the day. As it turns out, it’s also the meal people most enjoy. A study conducted by OnePoll revealed that breakfast foods are America’s favorite “genre” of fare — with 34% of respondents crowning morning munchies as the greatest grub.

One breakfast staple – the donut – seems to be especially popular as of late among Orlandoans. More and more donut shops are opening up all over town to entice breakfast aficionados with warm, fluffy, fresh-baked donuts (which can be enjoyed any time of day). Here’s a round-up of the best Orlando donut shops for families.

Orlando Donut Shops for Families

Satisfy your donut desires, alongside your little sweeties, at these delicious donut destinations:

1. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’

  • 1602 E. Buena Vista Dr., Lake Buena Vista, FL 32836
  • (407) 560-0100

Donuts aren’t reserved for drive-thru places. Donut lovin’ families can enjoy a farm-to-table brunch at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs. For a twist on a classic southern dish, order the Fried Chicken & Doughnuts.

This hearty sweet and savory dish features two pieces of Chef Art’s famous fried chicken served with glazed doughnuts. It also comes with a side of mashed potatoes… because why not?!

2. DG Doughnuts

  • 29 W. McKey St., Ocoee, Florida 34761
  • (407) 614-8609

This fried dough baker first gained a sweet following through farmers market sales and then with a small-batch operation run out of the Chevron gas station in Oakland before opening its Ocoee location. The sugary selections are grand – both in size and edible embellishment.

The menu includes classics, like glazed, sprinkles and cinnamon sugar; biggie smalls, which are big donuts topped with small donut holes; ginormous apple fritters; and rotating fancy flavors, such as Milkshake (filled with strawberry and banana milkshake custard with strawberry icing, jam and whipped cream), Oreo Black Out (dipped in dark chocolate ganache, rolled in cookie crumbs and finished with chocolate whip) and Lemon Curd Cheesecake (stuffed with tangy curd pastry cream, smothered with vanilla icing and garnished with lemon zest and crushed graham crackers).

3. Donut Central – Eats & Coffee

  • 495 N. Semoran Blvd., Unit 1, Winter Park, FL 32792
  • (407) 821-3000

When mom and dad need a pick-me-up, Donut Central happily delivers. You see, coffee makes people happy (literally). Caffeine triggers the production of dopamine in the brain and, thus, triggers (warm and yummy) cheeriness–a lovely ingredient indeed. For your next coffee run, sip hot java with your super cool cutie and nibble on fresh-baked artisan donuts. Donut Central has its own unique in-house coffee blend, sourced from Central and South American countries and roasted right in the Orlando shop via their Diedrich roaster.

Donut Central says, “From Maple Bacon to Chocolate Butterfinger Donuts and savory croissants, there’s something for everyone to start (or end) the day off right.” For something unexpected, try a Kolache, a sweet pastry stuffed with smoked sausage and cheese.

    4. Donut King

    • Multiple locations in Leesburg, Minneola and Winter Park
    • (352) 805-4888

As the name suggests, Donut King could be considered royalty among local donut devotees. Do yourself a favor and fill up one of their bright yellow boxes with a dozen donuts. This might take you some time because you’ll be completely mesmerized by the sweetly stocked case that showcases Almond Crunch, Cherry Cake, Chocolate Coconut, Vanilla Butter Cream and soooo many more flavors.

Donut King is slated to open a fourth location in Brooksville.

    5. Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew

    • 1504 E. Buena Vista Dr., Orlando, FL 32830
    • (888) FLGLAZE

Local parents know you can get a taste of Disney without a park ticket. That’s because Disney Springs boasts a train ride, carousel and tons of fun foods, including donuts that could definitely be described as “magical.” Of course, if you want to grab lunch before dessert, try The Grilled Cheeeeeese at Everglazed, which is an ooey gooey classic transformed on a griddled donut.

Worried about a lack of veggie consumption? Well, next, feast on the Purple Glazed Ube, a vegan treat featuring a purple sweet potato that magically works well in a sugary donut.

Aside from donut classics and decadent specialties, explore Everglazed’s “super funky” offerings, like the Black Raspberry Beret, featuring black raspberry jam, goat cheese buttercream frosting, fresh berries, mint and Frosted Flakes; or Thailicious, made with black sesame icing, charred pineapple, spicy chili-lime-garlic peanut butter topping, sweet chili sauce, micro cilantro, and sesame seeds.

    6. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

    • Multiple locations – Kissimmee, Orlando and Winter Park
    • (407) 599-5166

Sure, this place may be a national chain rather than a local mom-and-pop Orlando donut shop, but thanks to its open kitchen, it’s worth a visit with your youngsters to see the workings of Krispy Kreme’s palate-pleasing production line. Expect your mouth to water as your eyes watch fluffy doughnuts glide down a sticky conveyor belt to glazed perfection. Choose from iced, glazed, filled, cake, doughnut holes and more.

    7. Oviedo City Cafe

    • 1333 W. Broadway St., Oviedo, FL 32765
    • (689) 230-2318

Formerly called The Donut Patch, this Orlando donut shop changed its name but kept its awesome menu offerings. Claiming to provide fun for the “hole” family, this Orlando donut shop lets hungry patrons create their very own confection through a three-step built-to-order system that we know your kiddos will eat up. Pick your (1) donut, (2) glaze, and (3) toppings.

Can’t you just picture the delightful giggles you’ll have while designing donuts? Oviedo City Cafe also has ready-to-nibble signature donuts in an array of flavors. Sure to be a kid favorite, try the PB&J, a vanilla-glazed donut with peanut butter drizzle, raspberry sauce and chopped peanuts.

    8. Parlor Doughnuts

    • Three locations – Clermont, Orlando and Winter Garden
    • (407) 286-0117

I am thrilled that this Orlando donut shop continues to open more locations because most of their donut offerings are egg-free. As a mom to an allergy kiddo, this is a really big deal because most other donut shops use recipes that include eggs.

Parlor Doughnuts employs a unique approach to donuts. They declare: “Our proprietary product with layers of buttery dough fried to be crisp on the outside and light/fluffy on the inside.”

I give a thumbs up to Parlor’s finger-licking flavors, like Blueberry Hill, Churro and Vanilla Keto. Fido will be wagging his tail over the Dog Donut! Be sure to snag a box of minis (basically munchkins) for a later snack.

      9. Pattie Lou’s Donuts

      • 139 E. Pine St., Orlando, Fl 32801
      • (407) 203-3362

With the tagline “served with a Mother’s love,” you know this place is mommy-and-me friendly. Pattie Lou’s describes itself as a donut bar and, well, this Orlando donut shop sets the bar pretty high.

You can order a signature donut off the menu. Otherwise, just like at a libation bar, you can personalize your order to taste. Yup, that means you can pretty much drizzle on any type of icing or sauce, and top with toppings galore. Pattie Lou’s offers full-size donuts as well as miniatures to share with your mini-me.

      10. Shaka Donuts

      • 225 E. Michigan St., Orlando, FL 32806
      • (407) 271-4376

To channel that Girl Scout cookie taste with your favorite Girl Scout, order the Samoa donut at Shaka Donuts (yup, we’re kind of confused as to why Samoa Cookies are sometimes called Caramel deLites – but let’s table that discussion). Allow your taste buds to play even more by sampling Shaka’s Donut Breakfast Sandwiches, Jalapeno Cheddar Donut Holes and other menu staples.

      11. Sip & Dip Donuts

      • 1001 13th St., Saint Cloud
      • (407) 892-1252

Donut devotees of all ages are on Cloud 9 when they nosh at this St. Cloud locale. Sip & Dip is a friendly neighborhood spot and, once you have a bite, you’ll see why they’re the talk of the town.

The donut case is sprinkled with classics, as well as cronuts, apple fritters and cinnamon rolls. This shop’s exterior branding mimics Dunkin’ Donuts’, but the taste is certainly original.

      12. Smoke & Donuts

      • 601 N. Primrose Dr., Orlando, FL 32803
      • (321) 352-7070

What started as a food truck, Smoke & Donuts is now a brick-and-mortar site that’s made its way on the prestigious MICHELIN Guide. Located within the Milk District, but you won’t find milk and cookies on their menu. Rather, those who crave a perfect balance of sweet and salty will be pleasantly pleased by the unforeseen pairing of smoked BBQ sandwiches and donuts.

FYI, our sister site, Orlando Date Night Guide, has a blog featuring MICHELIN Star Restaurants in Orlando.

      13. Teak Neighborhood Grill

      • 6400 Time Square Ave, Orlando, FL 32835
      • (407) 313-5111

Do not forget about Teak when choosing a place for your next family night out. Adventurous eaters can enjoy more than a standard burger by ordering the Glazed Donut Burger. This entree features a juicy beef patty, American cheese and smoked bacon. Two glazed donuts serve as the top and bottom buns. Talk about a memorable family meal!

      14. The Glass Knife

      • Two locations: 276 S. Orlando Ave., Winter Park & 276 S Orlando Ave., Winter Park
      • 407-789-CAKE

This restaurant isn’t just a fancy pants brunch spot. It’s smoke-free and dog-friendly, so families can come to fill up on cakes, pastries and, yes, donuts. The donut menu may be less varied in flavors compared to other Orlando donut shops, but that doesn’t mean that The Glass Knife cuts corners when it comes to taste.

Your little firecrackers will be tickled pink over the Rocket Pop, a buttermilk brioche donut stuffed with a cherry limeade cream and topped with (blue) raspberry, (red) cherry and (white) lime glazes, and finished with golden star sprinkles.

Vegan diners will go nuts over the Peanut Butter Banana donut, dripping with rich peanut butter glaze, banana jam, dark chocolate ganache, non-dairy whipped topping and crushed peanuts.

      15. The Salty Donut

      • Two locations: 3025 Corrine Dr., Orlando, FL 32803 & 11585 Regency Village Dr., Orlando, FL 32821
      • (407) 960-6378

Don’t let the name of this Orlando donut shop mislead you. Sure, you’ll find some semi-savory flavor notes on Salty’s gourmet menu, but there’s no shortage of sugary rockstars, too. Treat the apple of your eye to Blueberry Coffee Cake, Peaches & Cream, Key Lime Meringue Pie, Guava & Cheese and much more.

      16. Valkyrie Doughnuts

      • 5565 Old Cheney Hwy, Orlando, FL 32807
      • (407) 868-5137

At Valkyrie Doughnuts, you can order mini- and standard-sized donuts or… the B.F.D. (aka Big F***ing Donut). It’s an OMG alternative to typical celebratory cakes or pies! Believe me, your kiddo will LOL when you bring home a huge square doughnut that barely fits in a 14” pizza box instead of plain old birthday cupcakes.

      17. Voodoo Doughnut

      • 6000 Universal Blvd., Orlando, FL 32819
      • (407) 224-3663

Whether you need a morning carb fix before getting a roller coaster fix at Universal Studios or a late-night sugar rush following a full day’s adrenaline rush at Islands of Adventure, Voodoo Doughnut will surely thrill your taste buds like never before. Serving more than 50 types of sinfully delicious donuts, this sweet spot within CityWalk has a whimsical wow factor.

Voodoo earned a cult following thanks to fan favorites like the Bacon Maple Bar, Memphis Mafia and, of course, the Voodoo Doll, a raised yeast donut filled with raspberry jelly and topped with chocolate frosting and a pretzel stake. You can nosh on the iconic Voodoo Doll and other company specialties in select cities, but the Universal Orangesicle is an exclusive masterpiece sold only at the Orlando location.

In the spirit of inclusive menus, Voodoo Doughnuts deserves props for its impressive vegan menu, featuring more than a dozen flavors, including Vegan Dirt, a vegan yeast doughnut with vanilla frosting and crushed Oreo cookies; and the Vegan Portland Cream, a vegan shell filled with vegan cream.

      18. 88 Donuts Bakery Cafe

      • 3334 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando
      • (407) 819-6572

This cafe offers something for every type of breakfast palate, with pastries, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, donuts and more. Since we eat with our eyes first, you and your breakfast buddy may be drawn to the Cinnamon Flower, which is a beautifully constructed Cinnamon roll of sorts. Otherwise, the classic jelly donut sprinkled with sugar never disappoints.
